In November 1-5, 2023, Farid Alizade represented both the World Alpagut Federation and Azerbaijan for the first time in history at the 28th TAFISA World Congress in Dusseldorf, where he established valuable connections. TAFISA subsequently invited Farid Alizade to represent them and spearhead the establishment of the Azerbaijan Sport for All Association to foster local interest.
In 2024, TAFISA officially invited Farid Alizade, recognizing his leadership within the World Alpagut Federation. This invitation aims to establish the Azerbaijan Sport for All Association, aligning with TAFISA’s global mission to promote physical activity. This collaboration will leverage Farid Alizade’s expertise to develop programs promoting regular physical engagement across Azerbaijan.
On November 23, 2023, TAFISA’s Board Members, Patrik Perosa and Marco Tomasini, visited Baku upon the official invitation extended by Farid Alizade. Their visit aimed to present the World Alpagut Federation as an official member of TAFISA at a press conference held in the meeting hall of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
TAFISA pledges full support for integrating the Azerbaijan Sport for All Association into its extensive network of 393 members spanning over 170 countries. The Association will serve as Azerbaijan’s representative in TAFISA’s General Assembly, advocating for enhanced sports accessibility and community health initiatives on an international scale.
